Gower Sunday Buses Welcomed

Gower Labour AM Edwina Hart has welcomed the boost to the Gower Explorer bus network over the spring and summer. The project has been part funded by a grant from the Welsh Assembly Government Sustainable Development Fund.

There will be an additional four services each way between Oystermouth and Rhossili, and an earlier direct bus from Swansea to Rhossili, operating between 25 May and 31 August on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.

Edwina Hart AM said:

“The Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty draws many visitors and anything that encourages people to use a more sustainable means of transport is to be welcomed. Of course, not everyone has access to a car and this provides a wonderful opportunity to spend a full day out. “

She added:

“The additional bonus is that those people who would normally drive can have more opportunity to enjoy the scenery rather than concentrate on the road.”
