Keep Gower tidy
Gower Labour AM Edwina Hart is delighted that schools and community groups across Gower are taking part in Tidy Wales Week
Edwina Hart AM said:
‘’Local people care about the litter on their streets and communities and they want to play their part in improving the environment. I am very pleased that the Keep Wales Tidy organisation has reported an excellent take up of the free clean-up kits provided to help local people make a difference to their local environment.”
The Keep Wales Tidy week runs from 23rd June to 28th June and the clean-up kits are sponsored by the Welsh Assembly Government and include guidance on how to organise a safe clean-up operation. Local Authorities are also supporting the campaign by providing practical support to the community groups.
Across Wales, over 290 schools, 220 community groups, 30 Communities First Partnerships, 13 Police/Fire Stations, 19 Scouts/Brownies groups, 38 public sector agencies and many businesses and individuals have already ordered clean-up kits.
