Edwina Hart AM Welcomes Relief for Welsh Businesses

Gower AM Edwina Hart has welcomed the announcement that businesses will receive further relief from rates next year.

According to the Federation of Small Businesses, around 64,000 businesses in Wales will see a real-terms reduction in their business rates bill.

Edwina Hart said:

“More than 45,000 businesses in Wales are already benefiting from the Assembly Government's small business rates relief scheme, and around 20,000 receive other types of relief.”

"Businesses in Gower can also be granted discretionary hardship relief if the local authority believes it is in the local interest."
