£4.5 Million Boost for Welsh Communities
Gower Labour AM Edwina Hart has welcomed a funding boost of over £615,000 for three community and voluntary organisations in Gower from the Welsh Assembly Government
Deputy Minister for Regeneration Leighton Andrews announced that £4.514m funding would be shared between 27 projects across Wales thanks to the Welsh Assembly Government’s Community Facilities and Activities Programme (CFAP).
The funding will go to community or voluntary organisations to help support the creation of new facilities and services. Since its launch in 2002 CFAP has previously funded 633 projects to a total of nearly £60 million.
Edwina Hart AM said:
“This is a big boost for groups in Gower that will make a real difference to our communities.
“It is important organisations at grass roots level are given the conditions to flourish in and this investment will go a long way to meeting those conditions.”
